Everyone who knows me knows that "trying" is a statement of bad intentions. If you say you are going try means that you are not really intending to do it. The simple example I use is I put a pencil on the table and ask the person to "try to pick it up". The person reaches for the pencil and I say do not pick it up just try to. They usually get my point. If somebody says they we "try" to get to a meeting, you should hear a statement of bad intention.
However no matter how concsious I am of this and how much I "try", I cannot get the word out of my vocabulary. But who’s perfect. The fun now is when people catch me at trying.
As Nike says, just do it.
