Excitement and Despondent

Yesterday was a day of meetings at two ends of a spectrum.  In each scenario I met with someone who was in one or the other extreme.

I was excited in a conversation with someone who was charged/energized based on the communication and excitement brought by having business and technology working seemlessly together.  The person himself is a fairly high energy intelligent guy so no surprise on being able to win the hearts and understanding of his business clients.

The other conversation was with someone just as smart, but totally dissappointed in the ability of IT and the Business to work together.

It got me to wondering about how excitment breeds excitment and despair breeds despair.  I know the second example isn’t at despair, but it is funny how I look back and think that these are cycles that need to be tended like a garden.  The good, fed, supported and the bad weeded out.  In this case I am not talking about people, but actions, beliefs and environment.

Choose Joy!  The second case can be revived, but by conscious choice, just as the first case did.

I was wondering what Rumi and SUFI were short forms for. Are they new or old software products?

“The fruits of the Spirit are Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control: against these things there is NO law.”
    That’s from Paul’s letter to the Galatians 5: 22-23
On the otherhand: If you can keep your head while all those around you are loosing theirs, you don’t understand the situation & your joy is a delusion.
And from RUMI (as translated by Coleman Barks in the Essential RUMI): and this is from memory so I may get it wrong but thge essence is …
“The feeling of great joy when sudden dissappointment comes.” Someone once asked the great Sheikh what Sufism was.
