My wife and I have both been receiving fund raising letters and magazines from the University of Toronto for years because we both are graduates. I always thought that this duplication was such a waste. This week we received the magazine addressed to the family. I guess that they must have look at their data and analyzed that if we have the same last name and the same address, then they really only needed to send us only one copy of their magazine.
I am very impressed. I am almost impressed enough to contribute to their cause out of respect for their use of data for business intelligence.
