Some Sad News

I am sorry as I am not going to have a great blog for the day today.

My wife and I were struck to the the core by a loss of someone we know who died Wednesday of a blood clot having just had a baby on the weekend.  They were close to my sister and hence we knew them reasonably well from some better times at the cottage.  Our hearts and support go out to Mike the young Dad and their new baby.

This was a little too close to the core for us and are very shaken.  So go hug your family, tell them you love them and think of what is good about your life today.

This was crazy after having read Scoble’s post early this week.  Life is real.

Robert: Thanks for taking the time to care and drop a note. I will ask and see. As Jim mentions, sometimes all we can do is take the time to care.
I am afraid there is nothing now that we can do about the cause of the loss, but we need to focus on the new family left without a mother, and I am not in the slightest equipped to understand where to start.

I believe when these things happen we can give them meaning by our reaction to them. We can all learn lesson about life from these experiences. Each one of us will get a different message from such an experience. I think it encourages us to look beyond the surface of things to way we are all connected.

Life is so uncertain and so short. So much tragedy. How can we make it better?
